The Daisy Appeal - Funding new treatment in Cancer, Heart Disease and Dementia

The Daisy Building

What is The Daisy Appeal?

The Daisy Appeal is a local charity established to help improve treatment and research opportunities in a variety of common diseases, most notably cancer and heart disease.

Having successfully raised £8 million to enable the construction of a Medical Research Centre at Castle Hill Hospital in 2008, the Daisy Appeal has now moved onto Phase 2 of the Appeal and looking to raise a further £4.5 million to purchase PET-CT Scanning equipment.

Research and treatment facilities for people in the Hull & East Yorkshire region are now greatly improved and with the addition of this equipment, we will be the first in Yorkshire to provide advanced imaging facilities directly linked to an ongoing scientific research programme.

Importantly:

  • The appeal is local, efficient and dedicated to helping.
  • 97p of every £1 donated will be spent directly on the Centre.
  • The chances are we are already helping someone you know!

There are many easy ways to help the Appeal, including donating, fundraising or volunteering. It can be as easy as using us to recycle your phone, or as challanging as running a marathon... You decide!
