Opportunity to visit the Daisy Building

On Friday 31st July 2009 the Daisy Research & Teaching Centre, on the Castle Hill Hospital site in Cottingham, will be open to the public from 2 till 6pm. This will provide a perfect opportunity for people to hear about research projects which are currently underway and to see the facilities within the building, which was opened last year by Rt Hon Alan Johnson.

There will be guided tours of the building starting on the hour. Places on these tours must be pre-booked with Jane Kitson Tel: 01482 465348/461909.

Information will be available relating to Phase II of the Daisy Appeal... Having raised over £5.9 million to fund the current building, the appeal will continue to fundraise to provide a PET-CT scanning research facility on the Castle Hill Hospital site, the cost of which will be £4.5 million.

There will be a Tombola and raffle in the foyer and donations of prizes will be very welcome.
