What is the Appeal / Why is there a need / The Centre / PET-CT / The Staff.

Professor John Cleland

Professor John Cleland is Professor of Cardiology at Castle Hill Hospital.

Education & Qualifications: University of Glasgow 1972-1977, 1977 MB ChB (with commendation), 1991 MD, 1991 FRCP, 1992 FESC, 1995 FACC.

His special appointments include: Consultant for World Health Organisation, Consultant for the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (UK), Senior Consulting Editor for European Journal of Heart & Editorial Board for the Journal of American College of Cardiology.

Professor Cleland researches aspects of advanced heart disease ranging from epidemiology, through pathophysiology to clinical trials designed to improve patients' symptoms and well-being and to prolong their survival.
